We are on a six-day schedule at Jerstad for specialists, so we number only the school days 1-2-3-4-5-6 throughout the year. September 4 will be Day 1, Sept. 5 will be Day 2, Sept. 6 will be Day 3, etc. I recommend you number a calendar, so that you can always check. This is a little confusing for us adults, but somehow the kids catch on right away, and they always know when they have library or gym. Of course this is important because they will need to bring or wear gym shoes on gym days and bring library books on library day. You may prefer to have your child leave a pair of gym shoes in their locker all the time so you don't have to remember them. (The easiest thing to do is just wear gym shoes every day so your child doesn't have to change shoes.) Our Art, Music, and Gym classes are at 12:20. Here is our schedule:

Library is different. It is every other Tuesday from 1:05-1:50. Our first library class will be Tuesday, Sept. 11, and the books checked out that day will have to be returned on Tuesday the 25th. Then it will alternate every other week all year.
