Classroom Rules

Families want to help their children do well at school.
Here’s how:

1.  Always ask if they have homework.
2.  Make them do their school work at the same time each day.  (Before they play is the best.)
3.  Make sure they eat properly and get enough sleep.  Sleepy and hungry children can not concentrate.
4.  Help them correct mistakes and return to me the work they have fixed.  I will mark it as correct.
5.  Make sure they dress properly for school.  Their clothes should fit and be appropriate for the weather.
6.  Please do not allow your child to bring toys to school.
7.  Discuss and encourage your child to follow these rules in the classroom:

Classroom Rules:
1.  Be safe.
2.  Be quiet.
3.  Listen and follow directions.
4.  Stay in your seat.
5.  Be silent in the halls and bathrooms.
6.  Do your best work, and keep working.
7.  Do your homework and bring it back.
8.  Show respect to all people and property.
9.  Raise your hand to speak, and wait to be called on.

Homework:
I expect everyone to finish their work each day.  Sometimes you might have to take a little of it home with you to finish.  This MUST be brought back in the morning.  Try to get a good night of sleep and a good breakfast.  If you work hard at school, you will not have much work to take home.

Clothing:
Children should dress appropriately for school.  See these suggestions.
